The Reason That I Sing is dedicated to my wife Phyllis who has walked through fire for me. She has shown loyalty and love rarely found in this modern day world of looking out for number one. But for her love I would have never lived to see the success that I have enjoyed in the world of songwriting.
She has allowed me a rare reincarnation. She has helped me to be a Phoenix rising from the ashes of a nightmare.
She refused to leave me when I asked her to. She persevered and gave me the hope to hang on and insisted that I live instead of taking the path of death, the easy way out. She endured every put down that I could think of to give a young woman the excuse to run and avoid years of tears and blood and heartache.
She was beside me every single day of a six month stay in three different hospitals. She was there with me through ten years of reconstructive surgery. She was the only familiar face when the one in the mirror was a stranger. She was there for me when my world had turned into ashes and pain. If I am anything I am what she has given me the chance to be.
